Magrev Kits are based on binding and elution of nucleic acids to and from magnetic beads coated with silica.

Nucleic acid extraction is the first step to be applied for all molecular biology based downstream applications. Numerous molecular genetic tests and experiments that are commonly used are performed only after the extraction of DNA or RNA of targeted organism. DNA/RNA isolation is generally composed of cell membrane and cell wall degradation, inactivation of nuclease activity, removal of proteins, concentrating the nucleic acids and appropriate storage of the extracted DNA/RNA. Extraction is formed from 4 main steps named as; lysis (release of DNA by degrading the cells and the structures bound to membrane, separation and denaturation of the proteins from DNA/RNA), binding (binding of DNA/RNA on a surface), washing (removal of unwanted contaminants such as salt, protein, etc.) and elution (recovery of DNA/RNA from the surface bound).

Magrev Bacterial DNA Extraction Kit, is a Real-Time PCR based in-vitro diagnostic medical device, IVD CE marked according to 98/79/EC Directive. Magrev Bacterial DNA Extraction Kit has been designed for manual extraction of bacterial DNA from body fluids including blood, serum, urine, sputum, swab, plasma, broncho alveolar lavage (BAL) fluid, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and as well as cell culture supernatants.

Kit contains the required solutions for extraction as well as the plastic consumables for magnetic bead based extraction. Magrev Bacterial DNA Extraction Kit is highly compatible with Bosphore Real-Time PCR kits. Starting sample volume is 200-1000 µl and DNA recovery (elution) volume is 60-100 µl.

Magrev Nucleic Acid Extraction Versatile Extraction Kit has been designed for manual extraction of nucleic acids from various samples such as blood, serum, plasma, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), amniotic fluid, liquid-based cytology, bone marrow, cell culture, urine, semen, breast milk, swab, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), buffy coat, mouthwash, tissue, tears and stool samples. Magrev Tissue Genomic DNA Extraction Kit has been designed for manual extraction of genomic DNA from human and animal tissue samples, and complex food matrixes such as gelatin or processed food samples.

Kit contains all the necessary solutions for extraction as well as the plastic consumables for magnetic bead based extraction. Magrev Whole Blood Genomic DNA Extraction Kit is highly compatible with Bosphore Real-Time PCR kits. Starting sample volume is 400 µl and DNA recovery (elution) volume is 100 µl.
