April 7th is World Health Day, and this week is World Health Week.
The First World Health Assembly called for the creation of a World Health Day in 1948. With this call, April 7th of each year has been celebrated as the World Health Day since 1950. The main objective of this day is to draw attention to a subject and raise global awareness about a priority area of concern by World Health Organisation (WHO). This year the subject is universal health coverage and the motto is “Health for All”. Health is a human right; it’s time for health for all.
